After comparing notes with our friends and family, Jennifer and I found out very of us have any portraits of ourselves as an
infant. And, none that truly showed what any of us looked like and most certainly even fewer with our Parents. Myself I have one
portrait of my Mother and I when we were one. She is standing on the driveway, squinting in too bright sun and I am told I was born
a week later. And, I treasure this grainy image, so it makes me smile when I see Mother's come into have their maternity portraits
taken...because I know they are giving their child an incredible gift. I often think how amazing it is going to be for these children,
whose parents have maternity and newborn portraits taken, how amazing it is going to be to have a record of themselves when
they were so very little, so very new, and so very perfect.
